Russell Erwin Heeren's Obituary
Russell Erwin Heeren passed away at his home in Fremont on April 3, 2024. He was 84 years old. Russell was born in Oakland.
Russell was proceeded in Death by his Mother- Margaret Patricia Alves (1972), Father- Rudolph Reint Heeren (1975) and brother Roger Gerald Heeren (1973).
Survived by his loving wife Cheryl, his children: Son Randy, daughter-in-law Mary. Daughter Lisa and his grandchildren, Malia, Raymond, Adelina, Dominic Jr. and Analise. Also survived by his loving cats who miss him very much.
Russell was a Graduate of Hayward High School class of 1957. He Worked for Kellogg’s Cereal Company for 30 years, where had the opportunity to retire early to enjoy retired life at an earlier age.
Russell loved sports and enjoyed going to the Oakland A’s games with his wife for many years. He loved all the Bay Area sports teams and would religiously watch whatever game was on TV. His guilty pleasure was WWE wrestling in which Cheryl tolerated. He most especially enjoyed seeing his grandson’s football games.
Russell and Cheryl were married in 1971 in Lafayette, CA. They then moved to Union City where they lived for 26 years before moving to Fremont where they have resided since. Summers were spent in Pinecrest Lake or Pine Mountain Lake on family vacations.
Russell will be missed terribly. Please think of him when you are rooting for your favorite sports team!
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
