Roy L. Quindoy's Obituary
Roy Labog Quindoy, 84, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, brother-in-law and friend passed peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2019, surrounded by his family. Roy was born on March 1, 1934 in Balanga, Bataan, Philippines. He studied at Far Eastern University and received his bachelor’s degree in Commerce. He married his wife Clemencia Petelo on June 25, 1971. They resided in Chicago, Illinois and eventually settled down in California. They raised two children; his doting daughter, Trina Ione and his loyal son Ian Jed. He later welcomed his son-in-law, Ric, and daughter-in-law, Diane into his family. He was preceded in this life by his mother Consuelo (Labog) Quindoy, father Numeriano Quindoy, brothers Mariano and Salvador and sister Zenaida. He leaves his legacy with his three grandchildren, his pride and joy, Kaitlin Taylor, Tyler Roy & Noah Xander. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, Salome, Nicanor and Arturo. Roy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; golfing, cooking, playing the piano, chatting and laughing with friends, rooting for his San Francisco Giants, cheering on his grandkids during their sporting events, spending time with his nieces and nephews, all the while wearing his colorful printed shirts proudly. He gave of himself often and whole heartedly, always putting his loved ones first, fulfilling his calling of being a devoted family man. He was a gentle and kind person and he will always be honored and remembered.
