Roy Uel Manning Nov. 26, 1924~March 26, 2009 Resident of Brentwood Roy, age 84, is survived by his loving wife Bobbie of 66 years; children Roy, Sharon, Bruce and Kenneth; 14 grandchildren 19 great-grandchildren & brother Lonnie Manning Roy and his wife Bobbie owned & operated ABC Ambulance Co. from 1950 to 1974. Roy’s civic activities and memberships include member, Alameda County Grand Jury, Hayward Airport and Hayward Parks Commissioner, Hayward Civil Defense Agency, Salvation Army Board, Hayward Area Safety Council, President CA State Ambulance Assn., Commodore of San Leandro Boat Club & Member of Hayward and Discovery Bay Lions Clubs, honored with the Melvin Jones Fellowship. Visitation and services will be at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544, (510) 471-3363. Visitation 5-8:30pm, Thursday, April 2, 2009. Services 1:30pm, Friday, April 3, 2009. Memorial contributions may be made to Lions Club International Fighting Blindness Fund.
