Rosita B. Alarcon's Obituary
Rosita was born on September 10, 1957 in Hinabangan, Samar, Philippines. She would move to Orion, Bataan where she would meet her lifelong partner, Antonio Alarcon. Rosita gave birth to her two daughters, Annaliza and Annalyn, and would became the ever loving and devoted mother that many knew her to be.
Rosita and her family would seek the American Dream, and begin a new life when they immigrated to the United States in 2000 and would settle in Hayward, CA. The first walls and roof that Rosita helped provide for her family, would be the same ones upon which Rosita would raise her daughters as they progressed through their studies beyond high school, through college, and until marriage.
Throughout the years, Rosita worked hard to not only support her husband and daughters, but to also provide higher education for many nieces and nephews back home in the Philippines. She consistently gave what she could, when she could, to various family members whenever she found a need and an opportunity to give. Rosita would work until April of 2023 when she finally retired, with the intention of choosing to help her daughters raise her new grandchildren, splitting her time between Mountain House and Hayward in order to enjoy and support her ever growing family.
When not working, or spending her time with her daughters or grandchildren, Rosita enjoyed gardening, watching Korean dramas, shopping, and spending time on her cell phone keeping tabs and keeping up with friends and loved ones. She enjoyed attending church as she was incredibly devout and strong in her faith.
Unfortunately Rosita went to the hospital on Father’s Day of 2024 where she was eventually diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. After discharge, Rosita continued to enjoy her family and grandchildren. A second trip to the emergency department revealed just how advanced and aggressive her cancer truly was. Rosita fought hard and held on to see her family again as they made a hasty return from the Philippines. The ever persevering and indomitable spirit would flourish and ensure that Rosita was able to spend her final days on Earth in the comforting walls of home and surrounded by the love and care of the family that she spent her entire life caring for before joining our God and savior Jesus Christ in heaven.
She was a dedicated and hardworking coworker, faithful friend, devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother. Rosita constantly thought of the needs and was always concerned for others before herself. Her motherly affection and care for others was paramount and her compassion and care was incredibly warm and uniquely her. Fittingly, a rose is signified spiritually as a symbol for both love and sacrifice, in which Rosita embodied entirely throughout her life on Earth.
Rosita is survived and her legacy continues on through her husband, Antonio, her daughters Annaliza and Annalyn, and her three grandchildren; Sophia, Ellyanna and Jose.
