Mrs Rose Marie Balke's Obituary
Rose Marie Balke, 90, passed away peacefully within her own home among her loving family on the evening of May 31st, 2017 in Hayward, California. Born on a farm in Denver, Colorado she was the youngest of six sisters: Dorothy, Gladys, Alice, Katie, and Margaret. During her teenage and young adult years, Rose loved to square-dance. In the 1960’s she moved to Oakland, California. Within time, she soon became the single mother of four children: David Thomas, Donald Thomas, Dennis Scott, and Diana Scott. Shortly after conceiving her children, Rose married her husband, Herbert Balke in 1967. Soon after, they bought a house and settled in Hayward, California where they continued to raise the family. Rose welcomed many into her home, from extended family members to residents of the neighborhood; she was loved by all. She was not only a beloved wife and mother, but a grandmother of seven grandchildren: Sam and Zachary Thomas, Tiffany Cotroneo, Jullian Scott, Anthony Cotroneo, Brittany Zinglar, and Joshua Ebadi. She loved caring for her grandchildren, from walking them to school every morning, to baking them a birthday cake, to allowing them to help solve the word-searches in her word-search book. She now reunites with her parents, all of her sisters, her second to oldest son, Donald Thomas, and her husband, Herbert Balke in God’s paradise.Memorial Service Information :Chapel Of The Chimes In Hayward, A 94544Laid to Rest on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 1PM
