Rosa Valenzuela Fiol's Obituary
Rosa “Rosie” V. Fiol beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt of many was welcomed home in heaven on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the age of 56. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.She was born Feb. 20, 1957, to Gregorio and Maria Valenzuela. She grew up in Union City where she graduated from James Logan High School and she met the love of her life. She was married to Richard G. Fiol on April 23, 1977, together they raised a large family. She was a long time employee of Stanford Hospital, and previously worked memorable years at Kaiser Hospital and as a driver for AC Transit.She is survived by her husband of 36 loving years, Richard G. Fiol, her daughters: Lina, Linda, Lisa, & Cristina, her son: Rudy, both parents: Gregorio and Maria Valenzuela, Sisters: Lydia and Amelia, Brothers: David, Raul, and Rene, Grandchildren: Alicia, Marrisa, Maricela, Noah, Alex, Ruben, Adrian, Isabel, Julian, Destiny, Amiyah, Ruben Jr., Jessiah, Jeremiah, and Catalina, Great Grandchildren: Nevaeh, Emilio, Elijah, Enalivia and Sophia. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom loved her dearly as she loved them. Waiting for her in heaven were her son Ruben, and daughter Irene.Rosa was a devoted christian woman. She has always been the rock of our family, holding us all together at all times. She was compassionate about everything she did. Especially her family. She always put others first and went above and beyond for her family. She was always smiling, joking, and lived with a positive attitude and outlook on life. She enjoyed going to the gift stores with her husband Richard, spending time with her family, bbq-ing, road trips to Mexico and camping. She was a blessing to everyone whom she came into contact with. She was adored by all who she knew, especially her husband. She will truly be missed by her family and all who knew her.
