Rosa Castro's Obituary
Rosa Castro 8/30/32 – 4/22/18 Rosa Castro passed away at the age of 85 on the evening of April 22, 2018 in Hayward Ca. She was born August 30, 1932 in Cerritos, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She was the second of eight children. In her teens years she married her husband Melquiades Castro of 63 years. The two had five children and moved to the United States where they resided in Hayward CA since the early 1960s. Rosa worked at Barrett’s Convalescent Home in Hayward, CA for over 30 years. And then cared for her many grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, family member and friend. Rosa was proceeded by her husband Melquiades Castro and her son Armando Castro. She is survived by her children Maria Socorro Garcia, Maria Dolores Garcia, Maria Teresa Miramontes, Noemi Ruthy Estrada, 14 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Services to be held: Viewing: Monday, April 30, 2018 from 5:00-9:00 pm at Chapel of the Chimes located at 32992 Mission Blvd Hayward, CA 94544 Funeral: Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 10:00 am -12:00 pm at Seventh Day Adventist Church located at 26400 Gading Road Hayward, CA 94544 with burial to follow at Chapel of the Chimes
