Ronald Joseph Pessia's Obituary
Ron Pessia, a longtime resident of El Segundo, passed away suddenly at his home in Hayward, CA on August 24th, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born Bradford, PA to Benny and Martha Pessia on January 19, 1951. The family moved to El Segundo in 1962 and made it their home for over 57 years.
Ron was a 1968 graduate of ESHS and was on the football team. He had many friends in ES and in all of the various places he lived throughout his lifetime.
He was well loved by everyone who knew him and a very caring son, brother, uncle, partner, and friend.
Ron worked as a telecom technician for Northern Telecom for many years.
As everyone who had the good fortune of knowing Ron, he had a great sense of humor, loved car racing, baseball, the ocean, hummingbirds, and listening to radio shows.
Ron is survived by his partner of 20 years, Carol Davis of hayward and her family, a sister Nancy Pessia English, of Salem, OR, a brother Perry Pessia and his wife, Phyllis, of Tigard, OR, a niece Andrea English of Salem, OR and her fiancé, Remi Brunone, a nephew Sean English, his wife, Maile, of Kapaa, HI, a great niece Mahina English of Kapaa, HI and many cousins.
A memorial: service will be held, date not yet determined, in Hayward, CA.
Rest in peace, dear brother, we love and miss you so much.
