I felt compelled to express my condolences at Ron’s passing even though our friendship was only at our workplace. I worked at Kellogg’s for 23 yrs in the Processing Dept. where he was a mechanic. Anytime I called for a mechanic and Ron showed up, I knew I was in good hands. He was one of the more capable guys in the shop. He always seemed to have a smile on his face and a sardonic wit that went unappreciated by many others. He took pride in his work and always was willing to go the extra length to do the job right.I haven’t seen Ron since I left Kellogg’s in 1992 and was saddened to read of his passing. I also wanted his family to know that he was one of those people who made going to work a pleasure. Mostly. I just wanted to let you know that he made a difference.
