ROLANDO ESPINOSA JUGARAP's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Rolando (Lando, Papang) Espinosa Jugarap
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rolando (Lando, Papang) Espinosa Jugarap
on November 1, 2025, at the age of 68. Born and raised in General Santos City, Philippines,
Lando was the beloved son of Cipriano and Josephine Jugarap and the sixth youngest
among 15 siblings. Throughout his life, he was devoted to his family and friends, always
putting their happiness and well-being above all else.
Lando is survived by his cherished wife, Leonora, and their three daughters, Richel, Janice,
and Ginalyn. He was a loving husband and a proud, devoted father. Lando and Leonora
shared an inseparable bond; wherever she went, he was right by her side, whether on
errands or working together on their beloved Toyota 4Runner. His love for his daughters was
boundless, often expressing that they were not just his children but his heart and his
everything.
Known affectionately as “Papang,” Lando dedicated himself to his grandchildren—Jared,
Lauren, Nikki, and Daejah. He played an active role in their lives, always ready to give them
his full attention, whether through Facetime, making them laugh with funny faces, or
playing games. The phrase “Papa there, Papa there,” often repeated in the family, is a
testament to his constant and loving presence.
Lando’s kindness extended beyond his immediate family. He welcomed Mike, David,
Darryl, and Rosie into his heart, making them part of his weekly calls and reminding them
how much they were loved and appreciated.
A man of simple joys, Lando loved buffets, steak, and burritos. He was a cowboy at heart,
dreaming of owning a farm, riding horses, and raising animals. He was also a talented cook,
famous for his signature Kaldereta and Kare Kare, which were always in demand at family
gatherings. His humor, pranks, and joyful spirit brought laughter to everyone, especially his
nieces and nephews.
Lando’s warmth, generosity, and love will be forever missed and never forgotten. Family
and friends are invited to honor his memory at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward at 32992
Mission Blvd, Hayward 94544. Viewing will be held on November 20 and 21 from 5–8 pm,
and the funeral service will take place on November 22 from 9–10:30 am.
As we remember Lando, we take comfort in the words of Psalm 73:26:
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion
forever.”
Rest in peace, Lando. You will live on in our hearts always.
