Rogaciano Palomar del Castillo Sr. a Union City, California resident entered into rest January 21, 2004 in Enfield, Connecticut. Born in Passi, Iloilo Philippine Island on February 13, 2004, he was 93 years of age. Retired veteran of WWII and served in the Philippine Scout turned US Army. He was an accomplished Musician playing Saxophone and Clarinet. He also worked with the VA Hospital. Loving Father of Siony Palacios of Union City, Emily del Castillo of New York, Cecilia Hipolito of Enfield, Connecticut, Ben del Castillo of San Jose, Rick del Castillo of Tracy, Percy del Castillo of Hawaii, Jose del Castillo of Sacramento, and Roger del Castillo Jr. of New Zealand. Devoted grandfather of seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. His wife Sofia V. del Castillo, one sister Nene Conching and one brother Crispin del Castillo preceded him in death.Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2004 and Thursday, January 29, 2004 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. with a vigil service Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a Funeral Mass Friday, January 30, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 32223 Cabello Street, Union City, CA 94587. Burial will follow at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544.'Service of Marked Distinction'
