Rodolfo Agpasan's Obituary
Rodolfo S. Agpasan, 76, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday,July 12, 2016, at his home in Union City.He leaves behind, his wife, Adelaida (Jean) Agpasan; his children Marie, Ruben, Theresa; his sisters Florecita and Norma; nieces, Lisa and Paula; his nephew, Ray; grandchildren; former spouse, Janice Morales, grand-nieces/nephews, and many close friends.Born in the Philippines on July 23, 1939, to Benito and Maria Agpasan. He moved to San Francisco with his family in 1954. Rudy had a deep appreciation and passion for music and played the violin skillfully. He was accepted at the San Francisco Conservatory in 1961. He was also known as the Filipino Elvis when he would sing at various locations all over California with his band. His parents urged him to consider this as a hobby and therefore he made a lifelong career at the U.S. Post Office. Rudywas also known for cooking up a great BBQ and loved sharing his corny jokes.There will be a Viewing/Vigil on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 5-9 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes located at 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward. The Funeral Services/Mass will be on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church, 32223 Cabello St., Union City.
