Rod was like a second father/Uncle figure in my life. I have said this many times since I was notified of his passing; He was love personified and his ways of leading with love have transcended to both Shevonne and Keisha. I can still hear his voice & his contagious laugh and remember his undeniable love for the Warriors. We knew that when the Warriors were on , that it was his time with them and that nobody was to talk (lol). He was a very unique individual and always referred to us (Shevonne, Keisha, Amoni and I) as "gang" and LOVED Stevie Wonder. I can still hear "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder playing in my head and can't help but to remember him blasting this song on repeat in his blue van when he would pick us up from sports practice or Woodroe Woods. All of these sayings and memories are only a few of the many many many amazing times I got experience with him. He was truly an angel here on earth. He showed unconditional love to everyone he came in contact with. This still feels unreal and there are never enough words to replace his beautiful presence but I feel so grateful to have experienced him in this lifetime. His legacy will live on forever in our hearts <3 We miss you dearly!!
