Roderick Curtis' Obituary
Roderick Dale Curtis Dec. 13, 1930 Aug. 13, 2009 Resident of Castro Valley Roderick passed away in his home in Castro Valley after a short time illness. Preceded in death by his parents George and Mary Curtis. Rod is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marjorie, son Mathew, wife Laura and Grandchildren Nick and Elizabeth, and his step-son Dale Mote, wife Kathy and several grandchildren, and extended family members. Survived by his brother George, wife Faye and their many children and grandchildren. Rod had enjoyed being a member of the American Bridge Club. Played golf, tennis and rode his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Retired from State Farm Insurance Company after 35 years in the Auto Claims field. Rod and Marjorie enjoyed many exciting cruises and exotic travels. Family and friends are invited to his Memorial service on Wednesday, August 19th, 2009 at 1:30 pm at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA.
