Robert Shackelford's Obituary
Robert Lee Shackelford a Castro Valley, California resident entered into rest Friday, May 2, 2003 in Hayward, California. Born in Bellaire, Ohio on January 27, 1921, he was 82 years of age. He moved to California in 1946. He worked at the Cadillac division of General Motors for 18 years. He also worked for Shaklee Corporation for 13 years as a warehouseman before retiring. Bob enjoyed people, he was known for his sense of humor. He was an Ohio All-Star football player his senior year and continued to be an avid sports fan throughout his life. Dearly beloved husband of Beverly Shackelford for 53 years. Loving father of Patricia Harrison of Fresno, CA, Judith Ward of Redding, CA, Jeanne Covault of Sandpoint, ID, Laurie Miller of San Lorenzo, CA, Robert Shackelford of Honolulu, HI and John Shackelford of Livermore, CA. Devoted grandfather of eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Five brothers and one sister preceded Robert in death.
