Robert Rabello's Obituary
Bob was born in Oakland in 1939. He grew up and lived his entire life in Decoto.
He attended Washington High School and graduated in 1957. He then decided to Attend Laney College and Major in Auto Mechanics. He was hired by Consolidated Freightways and worked there until he was drafted into the army, after fulfilling his service obligations he resumed his position at Consolidated Freightways. He then took a position at Hiller Aircraft assembling helicopters. Hiller moved their location across country and Bob was again looking for work. He was having breakfast at Holiday Bowl in Hayward when one of the owners approached him about a job. They needed a marketing manager. Bob took that job offer which evolved into a 37 year relationship with the bowling industry. He married his wife of 53 years shortly afterward and raised 3 wonderful boys. When he finally retired from Holiday at 62 he enjoyed many years of playing golf, enjoyed his grandchildren and even going back to Chabot College to get his AA Degree. Throughout his retirement he funded many of his grandchildren and other friends in their attempt at higher education. He was always a believer in education.
