Robert ’Bob’ William PhelpsOn Saturday, November 23, 2019, Robert “Bob” William Phelps was at home when he peacefully went home to the Lord. Bob’s infectious smile will be missed by those who knew him and loved him.Bob was born in Salt Lake City, UT. On March 24, 1935 to William C, and Mardell L. Phelps. Bob attended school in Layton, UT and Kaysville High School. As a youth, Bob enjoyed Boy Scouts and racing cars until the mid- 50’s. As an adult, Bob had a passion for horses, hunting, fishing and camping. He professionally drove trucks for over 44 years.Bob was preceded in death by his parents William Clive and Mardell Lillian (Lewis) of UT., his beloved daughter Tamra ‘Tami’ Phelps of CA. Bob will forever be remembered by his surviving sister, Marilyn (Aaron) Housley of UT., nephew, William (Julie) Housley, nieces Denyse (Allan) Cox and Cristina (Shad) Ward, all of UT., as well as his step-sons, Mitchell Dunaway of MI. and Warren (Denise) Dunaway of ID, whom Bob raised when married to their mother Nancy Lee. Extended family, Traci (Dave) Gregory, and Tami (David) Hass, of IN., daughters of Carol Sutton, Bob’s long time “sweetheart”, companion, special friend and caregiver for the past 18 years.We are grateful and want to thank Home Aide Home Care, Home Care Assistance/Divine and Kaiser Hospice for the compassionate caregiving support they provided for Bob over the years.A Celebration of Life will be held in the future.
