Robert Moors' Obituary
ROBERT JAY MOORS aka “BUBBA” Passed away on April 2, 2007 at home due to complications from Prostate Cancer. He was 73 years old. Robert was born in San Pedro, California on February 5, 1934. In November of 1956, Robert and his best friend Lyle enlisted in the United States Army and volunteered for the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers. After boot camp they went to Fort Gordon, Georgia for paratrooper training. They were both stationed in Germany in the 11th Airborne Replacement. They both proudly served for 2 years and were discharged in November of 1958. Robert settled in Newark where he lived for more than 50 years and owned a very successful moving company, “Bob’s Transfer Service”. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Candice Michele, 5 stepchildren; Donna Franchi, Debbie Mitchell, Mark Deming, Mark Simpson, and Richard Simpson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren with 1 grand daughter on the way, 12 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Mark & Thomas, 2 sisters; Eileen & Suzie, his Auntie Hannah and loving friend Lyle Eddlemon. Robert is proceeded in death by his dad, Mark Joseph, his mom, Jennie Lillian, and his first wife of 41 years, Audrey Lee . Robert was a remarkable, unselfish, loving, funny man. His generous heart, beautiful voice, and his Ukulele playing will be missed by all of his family and friends. Aloha Bubba….we love you. Friends are invited to remember and celebrate his life. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 4th from 4:30pm to 8:30 pm in the MISSION CHAPEL at the CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward CA. with Funeral Services on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 1:30pm
