Robert J. Kyle, Jr. and Maureen A. Kyle Longtime residents of Hayward.Robert J. “Bob” Kyle and Maureen A. Kyle are reunited in God’s Heavenly Kingdom!Maureen was born in London, England on July 21, 1935. She passed away on March 3, 2018. Bob was born in Oakland, California on August 29, 1933 and died on April 26, 2019.Bob joined the United States Air Force in April 1953 and proudly served much of his time at Royal Air Force Base Manston in Kent County, England. While stationed in England, Bob met Maureen in a local village and so began their love story of sixty five years.Bob and Maureen were married on December 14, 1957 at St. Jarlath’s Church in Oakland. They settled in Hayward and lived on Hesse Drive for over fifty years. They made many life long friends in the neighborhood. Bob had his own furniture refinishing and repair business for many years. He was a gifted craftsman and could make or repair anything with his skillful hands. Maureen was a stay-at-home mom and later served as a classroom aide at several Hayward schools, positively impacting the lives of several hundred children.Bob had many hobbies, including golf and woodworking, but his favorite was fishing. He took several trips throughout Northern California and Alaska with his many fishing buddies. Maureen had a knack for anything crafted-related. She artistically and creatively decorated cakes for family and friends for many years. Together Bob and Maureen enjoyed sports, ceramics, gardening, collecting antiques, and traveling.Bob and Maureen were each wonderful individuals, but more importantly they made an awesome team. They were loving, supportive, and dedicated parents to Kevin(Tara), Allyson, and Patrick. They were also the world’s best grandparents to Brittany, Kaitlyn(Tyson), and Brendan. They were also survived by Bob’s brother Mike (Betty), sister-in-law Sue Sherry, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. John Scerbak and loving friends and caregivers Francis and Cora Sobritchea.
