Beloved husband of Virginia Flowers. Caring brother of Betty Fiske and Elizabeth Utley. Devoted father of Gary Flowers, Jean Ann Ponte, and Claudia Bell. Cherished Grandfather of Lee, Michelle, Richard, Lea, and Jaclyn. Great Grandfather of 3. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Retired in 1969 after 27 years of Service at Sharpe Army Depot. During WWII he was an Army Combat infantryman in the Asian Pacific Theatre.Friends and family are invited to a Funeral Service on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at The Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to The Mended Hearts, Inc., Chapter #40, P.O. Box 4174, Stockton, CA 95204.
