Robert "Bob" A. Sousa's Obituary
Robert Anthony Sousa “Bobby” Sept. 26, 1945 – Apr. 16, 2010 He was a lifelong resident of Hayward. Bobby entered into rest peacefully at his home. Proceeded in death by his parents, Abel and Edna Sousa. Bobby left behind his wife Cheryl; son Mark, daughter Lisa and Grandson Devon. He was also survived by his brother John Sousa (Jane), sister Mary Spence (Wes) brother-in-law Jeff, John Jr. (Cari) mother-in-law Marilyn, as well as his aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews, and many friends. Bobby grew up in the Cherryland District of Hayward. “Big Boy” had a deep passion for drag racing, custom hot rods, and motorcycles. He gained local and state wide recognition for his 55 Chevy Nomad “The Last Ride” and took home several awards. He had a passion for helping people. He loved and cherished his family and friends, and never hesitated to lend a hand to those in need. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at Chapel of the Chimes, in Hayward, at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 30, 2010.
