I have fond memories of Brother Allan. I especially remember the church road show where he played the character of "Grog" from the Wizard of Id. We laughed so hard when he made the costume bounce around and say in the lowest baritone voice, "Grog".
I remember Brother Allan as kind and caring. He was not just a father figure. He was a father to many of us outside of his own family.
I have made a humble donation in Brother Allan's name to the Alameda County Food Bank because he was such a giving person and touched so many lives.
