Rita Celena Stuart's Obituary
Rita C. Stuart December 31, 1939 – December 12, 2015 It is with broken hearts and sad souls that we announce that Rita C. Stuart left us on December 12, 2015, to be with her Lord Jesus Christ after a prolonged battle with kidney failure and Dialysis treatment. Rita was proceeded in death by her husband Maurice Stuart the love of her life and (Son) Charles R. Blair and mother in-law Gretchen L. Blair. Rita was born and raised in Oakland, CA where she attended Holy Names High School. She had many hobbies including crafting, gardening, music,reading, and cooking. Throughout her life she always inspired her children, family, and friends to be the best that they could be; to look at life a little differently and to have big dreams, to never give up on yourself and to love your family no matter what, to always be true to yourself and have compassion for others with faith and love in their hearts. As Rita moves onto her next journey, she leaves behind a very wonderful legacy of love, compassion, commitment and faith. Rita was a devoted mother that gave her life to her family, she is survived by her children, daughters Shelly Chappell (John) and Rita Ann Jarvi (Steve), her sons Donald Blair and Curtis Blair and step-son James Stuart. Grandchildren Nikki, Michelle, John Jr., Jessica, Matthew, Ashley, Stephanie, Danielle and Steven along with many Great Grandchildren. Rita is also survived by three siblings, Eleanor Perez and Lydia Mondragon and brother Raymond Rodriguez along with many wonderful nieces and nephews. She fought hard for 14 years of failing health, she was stubborn, strong and hardheaded at times but always an independent lady, her life was her family and she will be forever loved and missed by all that knew her.The family would like to give a special Thank you to Napa Valley Davita Dialysis for the love and care you showed her. Her celebration of life will be January 16, 2016 at 10a.m. at Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA
