Richard McCoy a Union City, California resident entered into rest Saturday, March 9, 2002 in Union City. Born in Warden, Oregon on October 14,1930 he was 71 years of age. Richard was in the army for four years, where he met his wife of 51 years. He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for 39 years. Among the things he liked to do was flying his airplane and bowling. After retirement he and his wife enjoyed traveling in their motor home.Dearly beloved husband of Ann McCoy. Loving father of Gladys Hanson of Denver, Colorado. Dear brother of Dorothy Smythe of Reno, Nevada, Louise Peckham of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and John Collins of Ashland, Oregon. Devoted grandfather of three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2002 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a funeral service Friday, March 15, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home.
