My father, Patricio Urbi & my father n law, Enrique Padilla joined the US Navy together and so did Uncle - come to find out the wives had something quite in common they were from the same barrio in the Philippines.
As our parents taught us family are chosen my parents chose the Maycon family & the Maycon Fam chose my family. I have so many great memories of our dad’s playing mahjong , Auntie Pita would be with the other wives while us kiddos played outside with the farm animals or played billiard. Uncle would tip me if I brought him & other players a hot coffee or something to eat to the card table. Life was simple and sweet then.
