Richard Arlen Malarkey's Obituary
Rev. Richard A. Malarkey, a Galt resident of 20 years passed away on Friday, January 30, 2004 at the V.A. Hospital in Martinez at the age of 72. He enlisted in the military at a young age traveling the world and enjoying his career. After 20 years and 3 days Richard retired from the Air Force and endured other activities. One of those activities was ministry. Richard enjoyed working with people and sharing his devotion as an active Reverend. He was a loving husband for 30 years to his lovely wife Mrs. Betty June Malarkey. Beloved father of five daughters; Karen Malarkey of Sacramento, Sonja Craighton of West Sacramento, Barbara Schill of Sacramento, June Westfall of Pollock Pines and Michelle McGranaham of Vacaville. Three sons; Daniel Moree of Fremont, Ray Paul Moree of Clifton, and Matthew Moree of Newport News, VA. Dear brother of Barbara Newman of Ohio, Allen Malarkey and Karol Malarkey both of Scottsdale, AZ, John Malarkey of Mesa, AZ., Myron Potls of Missouri and Roger Malarkey of Junction City. Special grandfather of 27 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Family extend the invitation for friends to attend a Service in honor of his life on Monday, February 9, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Life Tabernacle Church on 446 3rd St. Galt, Ca. with visitation an hour prior to the service. Interment will be private at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park & Funeral Home 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, Ca.
