Ricardo Acidillo Kabahit's Obituary
Ricardo Acidillo Kabahit, 80, of Fremont, passed away October 9, 2019. He was born in Corregidor, Philippines on November 8, 1938. After coming to the United States in 1956, Ricardo graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco a couple years later. He went on to serve as a lineman in the United States Army in 1961. He was stationed in Germany and received a Medal of Good Conduct during his service. He married Corazon Aguilar on July 10, 1968, and after some time in San Francisco and Daly City, they eventually settled in Fremont. Ricardo worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service for 30 years, retiring after a stroke in 2000. He had a passion for fishing, gardening, working on cars and always had a house project in the works. Ricardo is survived by his wife, Cora; children, Kathy Alipio (Ron), Rico Kabahit (Rachel), Claire Alaura (Brian) and Ryan Kabahit (Jennifer); nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister, Maria Midel and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Procopio and Rosa Kabahit and eight siblings, Benjamin, Jose, Vicente, Estella, Johnny, Helen, Maximo and Rosario. A viewing will be held from 4-9pm (vigil at 6pm) on Thursday, October 17, at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. A funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Holy Spirit Church in Fremont.
