Reynaldo Sison's Obituary
Reynaldo Medina Sison, 78 years young, of Hayward, California, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, April 1, 2024. Rey was born in Manila, Philippines on May 15, 1945 to the late Isabelo and Dionesia Sison. He was the fourth youngest of 6 siblings and followed his older sister to the United States when he was 18 years old.
For Rey, family was the pillar of his strength where he learned the values of love, respect, hope, culture and traditions. His strong values, work ethic, loyalty and love of family and friends were second to none. He was a favorite among his nieces and nephews, and was proud of and loved them all dearly. Rey lived a full life by his own terms. He was warmhearted, spirited, mischievous, amusing, always ready with a story to tell and alert to any opportunity to show off his dance moves. He was fearless and never hesitated to take any chances because of his confidence.
Rey is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lillian. He is also survived by daughter Lucinda and her husband Edward Davis, daughter Sheryl Llarena, son Edric LLarena, daughter Katrina and her husband Tyrone Posadas; as well as his grandchildren, Mariah, James, Ronan, Paige, Kynlee and Violet. Rey also leaves behind his two sisters, Florangel Hiponia and her husband Salvador, and Erlinda Toy and her husband Brian, and his brother, Jaime Sison and his wife Elizabeth. Rey was predeceased by daughter Marie Christine Llarena and his brothers Isabelo Sison, Jr. and Benjamin Sison.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. Repast to follow.
