Reginald Vere Abbott's Obituary
Reginald Abbott was born in Warrens, Wisconsin on April 22, 1926 to Edward and Linnie McGinnis Abbott. There were 10 children total, 6 girls and 4 boys.
The Abbott family moved to Hanford, CA where Reg attended Hanford High School. After, he entered the United States Navy where he served for 4 years.
The family then moved to Oakland, CA where he met and married Mary Atencio. They had two daughters and eventually four grandchildren. Through illness, Mary left this life in 1977.
He is survived be his daughters Sheryl Abbott Ramirez (Ron) and Carol Abbott Potter (Derek); and his grand children Randy Ramirez, Stephanie Ramirez, Karri Gonsalves and Melanie Marks.
He is also survived by his current wife Miriam and her sons Marty Melvin (Bernadette); Bill Melvin (Cheryl), Ernie Melvin (Lori) and Alice Melvin (deceased).
He is also survived by his great grand children and many nieces and nephews.
