Realina Diaz Bucoy's Obituary
Realina Bucoy Resident of Union City July 3, 1933 – December 6, 2008 Entered into rest peacefully at the age of 75 in the home she loved in Union City, CA. Realina was born in Zamboanga City, Philippines. She came to the Bay Area in 1975 and spent over 25 years with the Oakland Unified School District where she touched the lives of countless students as a kindergarten teacher. “Auntie Moning” fully understood the importance of education. Throughout her life she put numerous nephews and nieces in the Philippines through college, in an effort to secure a brighter future for them. She is survived locally by her sister, Encarnacion Tadeo, and family. As well as by her nieces, nephews and their children – the Bucoy, Catingub, Duque, Emond, Madrazo, Taplin, Tadeo and Woodfall families. A visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 12th from 4:30-8:30pm. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13th at 10am. All services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544, (510) 471-3363.
