Raymond Masao Ogata's Obituary
On Wednesday, October 16, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Raymond Masao Ogata, 96, passed away peacefully with wife Judy by his side.
Born in Florin, CA, Ray was a humble, quiet man of integrity, admired and respected for his kindness and generosity. He is remembered for his dedication to family, and with wife Judy shared a love of gardening, gathering and traveling with friends, and cheering on the San Francisco 49ers and Golden State Warriors.
Ray is survived by the love of his life and constant companion of 64 years, Judy; their four children Kurt (Mesceille), Matthew, Arlene (Chris), and Sarah (Ed); grandchildren David (Phoi), Geoffrey (Dee Dee), Kaitlyn, Jake, Max, Nathaniel and Kenji; and great-grandson DJ.
Services will be held Saturday, November 23, 11:00 a.m. at San Lorenzo Japanese Christian Church located at 615 Lewelling Boulevard, San Leandro, CA. Reception to follow.
