Raymond W. MIller's Obituary
Raymond W. Miller "Papa" was born April 25,1924, in Ulen, Minnesota and passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at home in Fremont, California on February 3,2022. He grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and married his high school sweetheart and stayed happily married for 53 years until until her passing in 1996. Papa was a man of integrity, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. You could always count on him, no matter what. He loved candy, enjoy playing golf, family gatherings and his daily walks. He loved watching sports and he was a 49er faithful; he was thrilled when he learned the new quarter back was from his alma mater North Dakota State.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lavera, and daughter Karen Rheinor and survived by his daughters Sandra Swartz, Julee Custer, Robyn Benander and husband Mark; grandchildren Raymond Swartz, Paula Whitney and husband Jeff, Eric Rheinor and his wife Mimi, Rhonda Swartz-Branco, Curtis Swartz and his wife Linda, Billiejo Labriola and husband John, Justin Pewsey and wife Andrea, Ashley Benander and Danielle Benander; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Papa will be fondly remembered by strength he had and the love he showed.
A memorial service will be held at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward.
