Raymond Edwards' Obituary
Ray J. Edwards entered peacefully into rest on October 15, 2004. Ray was born in Oakland, CA, on February 17, 1942, to Ray & Roselyn Edwards. He attended Castlemont High School in Oakland, graduating in 1959. Ray lived in San Leandro for the past 25 years. He Worked for Crocker and Wells Fargo Banks, retiring in 1990.Ray joined Fruitvale Masonic Lodge #336 in 1967. He was installed as master of the lodge in 1975. He remained active in the lodge and in 1994 received the Hiram award, the highest award in masonry for service and contribution to the lodge.Ray is survived by his sister, Evelyn Olson, a nephew, Al Olson, nieces, Angela Amaral and Pamela Dixon and their families.Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Services will be held Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 1:00 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward. Interment to follow. Ray will always be remembered for his generous spirit and caring ways.
