Raulie Josef Ancheta's Obituary
On October 11, 2023, we said goodbye to Raulie Josef Ancheta, a warm hearted individual who touched the lives of many with his presence.
Raulie was born on March 19, 1973, in Oakland, California, to Rizal and Ruena, immigrants from the Philippines. During his childhood, the family moved to Fremont, California, where he earned his high school diploma at American High School. He dedicated 25 years of his life to Elma in Fremont, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew him.
Raulie is survived by his cherished daughters, Malina and Kaley, their mother Marisol, his loving parents Ruena and Rizal “Chico”, his brother Rochie Jay, his sisters Melicynth “Mel” “Cindy” (Josh), Trisha (Missy), and Alyssa, nephew Jace, nieces Siena and Lucia, in-laws Ben and Flora Ladaga, Elvie and Daniel Smith, Lisa and Chris Midel (Lyla and Lana), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends turned family.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Raulie's unwavering loyalty belonged to the Dallas Cowboys. His leisure moments were spent fishing, finding solace in the tranquility of Quarry Lakes in Fremont. Above all, he was a proud and devoted father to his beautiful daughters. He chauffeured them to their activities, assisted with homework and projects, and actively volunteered at their elementary school, Our Lady of Guadalupe School. Raulie's fatherly pride knew no bounds, often sharing videos and photos of Malina and Kaley with family and friends. Raulie's quiet confidence, mischievous smile, "thuggish" persona, and his enormous heart endeared him to countless individuals.
To honor his memory, a viewing will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Fremont, followed by his burial at Chapel of the Chimes. A reception to celebrate his life will be held at 2p.m. at Pearl Bay restaurant in Fremont, California.
If you are planning to attend the reception, please RSVP by Sunday, October 22, 2023 at [email protected]. Please put the number of people attending in the subject line. Thank you.
