Ramona Mayra Haller's Obituary
Ramona Marya Haller Mar. 30, 1930 Nov. 26, 2011 Resident of San Leandro, CA Born in American Falls, Idaho, Ramona Marya Frey-Haller, a 61 year resident of San Leandro, passed into eternal peace at age 81. The fifth of six children born to Christ Frey and Mathilda Seefried, she was preceded in death by her parents, older brothers Raymond and Emmanuel (EJ) and her youngest brother Arthur (Art). She married Raymond Frederick Haller on June 4, 1950 in Idaho Falls, ID and shortly thereafter moved to San Leandro where in 1952 they welcomed their first child. She was a long time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in San Leandro where she served as the church secretary for 25 years and remained active in the Women’s Group and Kids Club until shortly before her death. Raymond preceded her in death on Dec 7, 1987. She married Richard Albert Ahrens on September 10, 1994 and remained by his side until his death on October 16, 2010. Ramona is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Monica and Leo Gihring of Buhl, ID, brother and sister-in-law Leonard and Darlene Frey of Cody, WY, son and longtime companion Chris Haller and Jamie Haynes, son and daughter-in-law Paul and Maritza Haller all of San Leandro, granddaughters Nicole Haller of San Leandro, Kelly Haller (fiance David Kingsford) and Jennifer Gardner of Antioch, great-grand children Chayse and Masyn Gardner and Jadynn Rae Kingsford of Antioch and Levi and Olen Lokkesmoe of Sausalito as well many nieces, nephews, cousins and honorary family members around the United States. She was an amazing woman of independence, strength and faith that touched the life of anyone that knew her. She will be greatly missed by everyone. Services will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church 172 Breed at Broadmoor San Leandro on Saturday December 3, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Private internment will be held at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to the American Cancer Society or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Kids Club, San Leandro.
