Ramon Sanchez Maya's Obituary
Ramon S. Maya Apr. 26, 1929 – Nov. 7, 2011 Resident of Hayward Beloved husband and father; born April 26, 1929 and entered into eternal life at age 82, on Nov. 7, 2011. He was born in La Piadad, Michoac n, Mexico and came to the U.S. in 1964. He settled in Hayward, CA and married Constance Moreno. He and Connie were happily married for 47 years and raised 6 children. Ramon is survived by his wife Connie of Hayward; son, Albert Moreno of Hayward; son, Roman Lopez of Hayward; daughter, Jessica Bohn of Modesto; son, Marcos Maya Penn Valley and son Mario Maya of Fremont. Daughter Ophelia Weaver of Hayward preceded him in death in 2009. He was “Tata” to grandchildren Celeste Moreno, Joyce Moreno, Elizabeth Moreno, Albert Moreno, Alvino Moreno, Alicia Lopez, Melissa Lopez, Julie Vasquez, Jasmine Bohn, Joyclyn Bohn, Joshua Bohn, Brandon Maya, Matthew Maya, Erin Maya, Michael Maya, Isaiah Maya and 11 additional great-grandchildren. He’s also survived by brother, Eziquel Maya of Modesto and sister Delfina Navarette of Mexico City, Mexico. He was most well known for his devotion to his wife and family, for his quiet, patient demeanor. Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass: Mon., Nov. 14, 2011 at St Joseph Parish, 43138 Mission Blvd., Fremont, CA on Mon., Nov. 14, 2011 beginning at 10am with a reception immediately following. Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011 from 5pm9pm Rosary is at 6:30pm at Chapel of the Chimes, 2992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. Visitation will be in the Mission Chapel.
