Ram Parkash Sharma's Obituary
To all my friends, I want to thank you all for attending my services. Though I may not be able to communicate with you the way I used to, I want you to know that you were very important to my being. During my youthful exuberance days, you were there to nourish my intellect, engage in healthy intellectual debates about topics of global relevance, and do that thing we did as first generation Indians in a land unknown, have parties on weekends to talk longingly about the home we left behind and the adventure we were on. We then got busy with our lives and our children, but as one of the few Indian families in the Bay Area, we kept in touch always. You must know that I depended heavily on that connection and how much I respected each of you for your brilliance and commitment and hard work ethic. You were the pillars of the community and were the pioneers to blaze the trail for the eventual respect our community has gained for our business leadership, scientific achievements, medical prowess, and spiritual stability. Unfortunately, my existence for the past 14 years limited my ability to stay connected, but I thank you all for taking the time to come and visit me. When you did, the flood of emotions remained raw as I associated your face with the great times we always had……..and it always brought a smile to my face when you walked through the room as I lounged in my luxury bed with remote control. Thank you friends. You are the reason I was able to build the life I did and raise the family I did. I didn’t have a chance to say goodbye. Nobody ever does. I do look forward to the day your energy and mine cross paths once again. With my deepest fondness and respect, Ram Parkash Sharma
