Ralph O. Rodrigues' Obituary
Ralph O. Rodrigues passed away October 14, 2016 in San Leandro, California. Ralph was born the ninth child of Isidro and Lucia Rodrigues in Oakland, California. He attended Mission High School in San Francisco. After graduating High School, Ralph entered into the Navy from 1947-1950 and was Honorably Discharged as a Seaman First Class. After serving his country Ralph started his career at National Lead Company and spent most of his career at Dunn Edwards Paint as a paint tinter and became very well known throughout the paint industry as one of the best in the business. Ralph married Virginia Velasquez on June 23, 1957; they raised four children in Hayward, CA. Family was very important to Ralph; he always looked forward to spending time with his nieces, nephews & especially his grandchildren, always engaging in conversation and sharing his opinion on parenting, political or current events with them. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and music. His favorite music & singers, Rancheros Boleros, Country, and Blues, Johnny Cash, Hank William and Ray Charles could be heard on the weekends playing off his collection of records regularly. Ralph is survived by his wife Virginia, and four children Ralph B. Rodrigues, Ben Rodrigues, Steve Rodrigues and daughter Anne Toth along with five grandchildren, Armando, Vincent, Ricky, Stephen D and Tesia.
