Ralph Haney's Obituary
RALPH E. HANEY, “POPPIE” Age 78, passed away on March 30, 2007 at his hone where he and his late wife of 58 years, Ola Mae, lived. He is survived by three children, Mack, Lottie, and Robert; sister, Mary Alexander; and brother, Wayne Haney. Born in Lead Hill, AK, Ralph was raised in the Bay Area. He worked and cared for his siblings and parents, James and Mary D. Haney. In 1949, his life changed when he met and married Ola Mae McDaniel of Big Springs, TX. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum and was a proud member of the ILWU Local 6. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and trips to Reno. Loved by family and friends, he will be remembered by everyone lucky enough to know him. Ralph was devoted to his family and made time for everyone. He was a hard-working man with a passion for life. He had an infectious humor and will be sorely missed. He will live on in our hearts forever. We love you Dad.
