Dear Auntie Rae and family, I stepped into this family 16 years ago. From the first moments you made me feel so loved and cared about. You have the biggest heart. I will forever remember our day with you, Uncle Ernie, Auntie Evelyn and Becky in Danville hills at the Catholic retreat and going through the stations of the cross. To my wonderful family and friends. My aunt Rae was and always will be very special to all of us. She could light up a room with her smiles and laughter. Always loving and always sharing. Aunt Rae was an amazing and loving sole. She loved her family and her faith, always saying ” God willing “. My aunt was very blessed with her loving husband my uncle Ernie and her loving two sons, daughter in laws and granddaughters. All the years of raising my two sons I could count on my aunt and uncle to help at a moments notice, always with love in there heart and a smile. This is a very sad day for me but in knowing the love of my family I will hold this always close to my heart and always remember with a smile. Marie and Rich Heroux spent a short vacation with Rae & Ernie at the lake living on a houseboat. The accomodations were very nice, but we had the darnest time sleeping as the movement of the houseboat on the water kept us wondering if we would find ourselves in the middle of the lake. Our enjoyment during this vacation was enhanced by meeting your neighbors and family members. We will always tell stories covering the times we had especially when you took a rental car from North Carolina while travelling to New Jersey and received a ticket for going by a Toll Booth and we got the bill. Your a “hoot”.
Marie and I have enjoyed your company on so many occasions where you were the life of the gatherings. Your pleasant personality and admiring gift to see through our facade made for a wonderful reunion wherever we held them. We are missing you as I write this note. We are aware that your Blessed Lord and Savior has reserved a special place for you resting close to Him. Our prayers are with your family as they grieve your departure. Know that we will always dream of joining you someday.
