Gandhi Wijayaratnam (Puranammah), beloved mother of Amaran Wijayaratnam (Wijay), passed away peacefully in Hayward, California, on May 9th 2017 at the age of 92.She is the beloved wife of the late Rasiah Wijayaratnam, and daughter of the late Annamalai Chettiyar and Thulasi of Badulla.She is survived by her loving children Amaran (California), Lali (Australia), Kala (New Zealand), son-in- law Mahadevan, daughter-in-law Sivarupi and grandchildren Aaron, Dinesh, Anita, Arjun, and Ashwin.She is the sister of Paakiam (Sri Lanka), Saro, Padma, Shanmugarajah and Mahadevan (Canada), Lucky and Thamba (Australia) and LATE Sockalingam Nava, Pathmanathan, Nadarajah and Sundara.Viewing: Saturday May 13, 2017; 9AM – 11AMChapel of Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544 (510) 400-4442According to the wishes of the family a private cremation will follow.
