Prudencio Gonzales' Obituary
Prudencio S. Gonzales, 91 (affectionately known by family and friends as Dencio or Rudy), peacefully passed away surrounded by his immediate family on May 17, 2018 in Antioch, CA. Rudy was born to Marcos and Angela Gonzales on September 1, 1926 in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, Philippines. He is the fourth of eight siblings. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with honors at the University of the East, Manila Philippines. On March 31, 1957, Rudy married the love of his life Adelaida (Ida) Morales. They had four children. He worked for the Singer Sewing Machine Corporation where he was a respected supervisor. Then, he established a successful business venture. Upon the family’s immigration to the US in 1979, Rudy worked at the Alameda County and the Post Office. Rudy was an avid gardener and relished playing the piano. He enjoyed watching sports and loved endless sports discussion with his children and grandchildren. During retirement, he volunteered his time at St. Leander’s Church and travelled the world with his wife.Rudy is survived by his four children Mary Ann, Dennis, Marcos, Dell and their spouses Lito, Cindy, Celia and Pete. Rudy was a devoted and caring grandpa to DJ, Jojo, Denny, Michael, Daniel, Marissa, Nick, Logan and Chloe.Rudy was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Adelaida.
