PETER L. ALCON PETER L. ALCON Lifelong Resident of Union City Entered into rest December 17, 2006 at age 79, after a long illness and is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Hedy S. Alcon and his devoted son, Ronald Alcon of Union City; grandson, Jason alcon of Seattle, Washington; granddaughter, Rhonda Pritchard of Irmo, South Carolina and three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Michael and Madison. Pete served his country in World War II in Austria as a rifleman and a military policeman and was discharged in 1946. Pete worked for the Public Works Department of Union City for 16 years and retired in 1984. He also had worked in the furniture manufacturing trade for over 10 years. Pete had a special place in his heart for young children and coached little league for over 15 years. He loved his SF Giants and SF 49ers. He enjoyed his coffee shop visits and the sports talk he had there. Pete was a quiet, friendly man who will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to the CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA, on Thursday, December 21, 2006 for the Graveside Service at 2:30 p.m., visitation 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
