Perla Montecillo Martin a Union City, California resident entered into rest Saturday, September 7, 2002 in Union City. Born in Cebu City, Philippines on October 4, 1941, she was 60 years of age. Perla passed away quietly in her home after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, friend and co-worker. She will be greatly missed. Perla worked as a clerk for 17 years at N.U.M. M.I.Dearly beloved wife of Efren V. Martin for 36 years. Loving mother of Maryanne & Joel Gacusan of Union City, Michelle Mario Alansalon of Union City and Noel & Allyn Martin of Fairfield. Devoted grandmother of five grandchildren; Julian Gacusan, Mia Lynn Alansalon, Marcel Alansalon, Nathan Martin and Nina Pearl Martin.Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2002 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and Thursday, September 12, 2002 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, September 13, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church; 37891 Second Street, Fremont, CA 94536.
