Pegy Louise Knab's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Peggy Knab announces her passing on November 26, 2025. She had fought hard through multiple recent operations and chronic pain but ultimately passed away unexpectedly at her family home.
Peggy was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Robert “Bob” and Betty Neufeld. After attending James Logan High School, she continued her education to pursue a fulfilling career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
A nurse for over 40 years, her dedication to caring for others extended far beyond the workplace. She possessed a lifelong passion for medicine, continually taking classes to maintain her active license even after stepping away from the bedside. This nurturing spirit was evident in everything she did. When her health allowed, she found peace in her vegetable garden and joy in the kitchen, where she loved testing new recipes and preserving cherished old family traditions.
Above all, she was fiercely dedicated to her family—not only her immediate and extended relatives but also the many friends she brought into her circle and loved as her own. Her grandchildren, however, held a distinct place in her heart. Though she lived far away, she adored every opportunity to connect with them, bridging the distance through weekly video calls and treasuring every moment of their in-person visits. An avid learner with a sharp mind, she also spent countless hours researching history and family ancestry, working to link the past to the present for those she loved.
Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Dennis Knab; her children, Teresa Knab, Laura (Ryan) Johnson, Robert Knab, and Emma Knab; and her grandchildren, Callen and Cassius Johnson. She will also be dearly missed by her mother, Betty Neufeld; her siblings, Dona (Mohsen) Saadat, Glenn (Joyce) Neufeld, and Jerry (Kim) Neufeld; as well as her extended family and friends.
