Pedro Barraza's Obituary
Pedro Rios Barraza was born on April 27, 1932, in Chanetla, Sinaloa Mexico. His parents were Alberto Barraza and Magdalena Reyes. He was educated in Mexcali, Mexico where he lived until he was 35 years old. While living in Mexicali and Tijuana, he attended Bible college sponsored by the Assemblies of god, and he performed the work of the Lord as a minister under the guidance of the Assemblies of god.He settled in the United States, and his brother introduced him to the Apostolic Church in Union City and he liked it. That is where he was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, it is also the place where he met a lovely young lady named Sally Rodriguez, and he promptly fell in love. They married June of 1973 and they bought a home where they have lived ever since. Pedro in his home always reached out to bless others as the lord blessed him. He shared his home with many of his nieces and nephews and helped them until they were able to move on and provide for themselves.Pedro worked for many years at the Xerox Corporation, from where he retired. Pedro was also a person that liked to work for the lord, in the Apostolic church in Hayward, he and his wife Sally worked for many years as custodians of the church. They cleaned the sanctuary, the bathrooms and kitchen from top to bottom, with joy in their heart as their reward, for they received no salary for that. He also liked to clean and wash the corn husks on tamale days, he worked for hours with his hands in water until his hands were literally shriveled up.Pedro dedicated his life first of all to his god, being a faithful member of his church and his faith never ever wavered. Then his dedication went to his wife and son. He provided for them throughout and loved them until the end.Pedro went to his maker on August 17th, 2018. He is survived by his wife Sally Barraza and his son Pedro David Barraza, 2 grandsons Jordan and Julian Barraza. He is also survived by 6 sisters Mercedes, Josefina, Pilar, Gloria, Angela, and Priciliana and 2 brothers Feliz and Cesario. He will also be missed by a large number of nieces and nephews, all of whom he dearly loved. Pedro we will always remember the great legacy that you have left us to serve God faithfully, to love and protect your family faithfully and to be of help of others faithfully, and now may you rest in peace, sheltered in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ.
