Pearl M. Gianfagna's Obituary
PEARL M. GIANFAGNA “Lola Warner” Passed away February 12, 2008 in Fremont, California. Born on May 27, 1919 in Brooklyn, New York. Pearl was the youngest daughter of Frida (Wagner) Rahn and Gustav Rahn. A long-time resident of New York and New Jersey, Pearl moved to the Bay Area in 1996. Pearl married Anthony Gianfagna in 1939, and was his loving and devoted wife until Tony’s death in 1970. During her early days, Pearl was involved in show business as a singer and dancer. She toured the east coast as “Lola Warner” with the Major Bowes Amateur Hour troupe, getting to know celebrities such as Frank Sinatra very early in their show business career. Pearl was also named “Miss Brooklyn” in a local beauty contest during that time. Pearl is survived by her son Michael Gianfagna and daughter-in-law Phyllis of Fremont; two step granddaughters Christine Orlando of Raritan, New Jersey and Anne Orlando of Davis, California, and her brother George Rahn of Hayward. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, February 14th from 6:00 – 8:30 PM and a Funeral Service starting at 10 AM on Friday, February 15th, both at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA (510)471-3363
