Paul Jones Jr.'s Obituary
Paul Jones Jr, the husband of Lidia Jones passed away on September 24, 2021, after a short bout with an illness.
Paul was born on May 22, 1958, in Alameda California to Paul Jones Sr., and Ruby Lee Jones and grew up in the Bay Area with his brothers and sisters. Paul graduated from Castlemont High School in 1976 and shortly after that began working in the Automotive Center at Montgomery Wards. In 1999 he left Montgomery Wards and started doing what he loved which was being self-employed and driving a water truck which he did until his passing. During the wintertime he had the pleasure of working along with his wife at GloriAnn Farms doing the second thing he loved the most, spending time with his wife and driving trucks.
Paul, his wife Lidia, and their son Mario moved to Contra Costa County in 1999 where they still reside today. Paul and Lidia surprised their families and friends by getting married on August 2, 2014. They were joined by their children, many family members, Lidia has said this was the happiest day of their lives.
He leaves behind his daughters Joyce and Jessica, his only son Mario, 4 sisters, 5 sister-in laws, 1 brother, 3 brothers-in-law and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces. He also leaves behind several good friends that he has known for over 25 years. In death he has joined by his father & mother, mother-in-law & father-in-law, brother-in-law, along with a sister and brother, Aunts and Uncles.
Lidia has shared, and most of us know, how much her husband loved to cook. His specialty was BBQ ribs, he would start at 5am cooking them slow so that when you ate them, they would fall right off the bone. His favorite hobbies included cooking for family and friends, working on cars and going fishing.
