Paul Anderson DeFrates, a resident of Hayward for 46 years, he entered into rest on Saturday, September 15, 2001 at Kaiser - Hayward. Paul was born in Decatur, Iowa on August 25, 1928, he was 73 years of age. A member of the Hayward Elks. He work as a lithographer for 44 years. A veteran of the US Navy, for 8 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, attending his grandson's little league games, drawing, poetry and dancing.He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Donna Marie DeFrates of Hayward. Loving father of Diana Rome and her husband, Tim of Antioch and Dave DeFrates and his companion Rae Forst of Hayward. Dear brother of Laura Habermann of Wisconsin. Caring grandfather of Cambra, Shauna, Tyler and Amanda. Uncle of Ted Habermann of Tennessee and Cousin to Violet Paulson of Los Angeles.A funeral service will be held at 7:00PM in the Mission Chapel of Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544.
