I have known Patton for at least 14 years. He was the guy I looked for any time I needed help. My brothers from the Philippines also knew him and had fond memories of Patton. I last saw him before i returned to the Philippines in Feb of 2023. We had ramen lunch together. He was a sweet, kind, and beautiful young man who loved his mom, his wife and kid. He was also a very competent and helpful banker who knew what he was doing, and successfully and patiently helped me navigate some complicated things, specially that remittance thing. He was always calm and knowledgeable. I came back to Oakland from the Philippines in Feb 2026, went to the bank happily expecting to see him. I was devastated to learn that he had passed away. I informed my family back in the Philippines, and we were all so sad. Today I am about to leave the US again, and my thoughts are with Patton and his family. I want to let his family know how much he was loved and appreciated, that he was a very special person. May our dear Patton rest in peace. May his beloved family continue to heal through their memories of him.
